Introduction

During these difficult times, I would like to assure you that I am here and talking to clients via zoom or telephone to help you manage your situation.

Sometimes we may be swan-like, presenting a calm and sorted exterior but our inner world can be the complete opposite, feeling confused, anxious and sad.

I am an integrative counsellor in Farnham and can provide a safe space for you to be truly heard with no agenda and no judgements. The purpose of counselling is to explore your situation together. By beginning to acknowledge and make sense of your thoughts, although it may not feel like it right now, the answers are inside you and our work together will be to uncover them, which will help you to find the best way for you to move forward.

Sometimes we have that feeling of being stuck and unsure of who we are and where we are going. By providing a non-judgmental space my goal is to help you to gain new perspectives and feel more in control of your life.

I believe that choosing to talk to a therapist is a sign of strength. Who you disclose your thoughts and feelings to is so important. For me the relationship between us is paramount, you need to feel supported and it must be with someone whom you trust. There will be no obligation to continue with our sessions if you feel we are not working well together and for the duration of your therapy we will be in this together.

How I work with you

Our initial session, which can take place over the telephone, if you prefer, will give you some idea of what to expect from counselling and whether you feel we could work well together. Sometimes even this first session can be enough to bring relief just by being really heard, perhaps for the first time. There will be no obligation to continue after this first session or we can continue for as long as you feel it is helpful and useful to you. You will always be in control of the pace and depth of our sessions and I will not take you anywhere you are not comfortable to go.

I have years of experience talking with people of all ages and backgrounds with diverse and complex difficulties. Each person and situation is unique. My integrative training allows me to draw on a range of therapies and approaches to best support you.

I fully believe that we all deserve to be the best version of ourselves that we can be, but life sometimes gets in the way. By talking with me I hope you will discover your full and true potential, which may enable you to make healthier choices and create changes for a more positive future.

I am aware that a lot of people communicate on a very superficial level, frightened to show people who they really are, scared they may not  be liked or will not fit in. I am always interested in that deeper connection between us, that affirms life as the very essence of what makes us human.

It is rare to find someone who has not experienced some difficulty or trauma in their life. Finding someone to share those difficult memories and feelings with no agenda is therapeutic and infinitely healing.
I hope to be that person for you.
